After the massive, bone-chilling success of Longlegs in 2024, Nicolas Cage and Osgood Perkins are officially teaming up again for a new project set within the longlegs universe.
Paramount Pictures has snapped up the rights for this next installment - and while early whispers have called it a direct sequel, the studio is saying this is more of a standalone story. It’s less "Longlegs 2" and more of an expansion of the dark, occult world Perkins built.
The best part? Nic Cage is back both in front of the camera and as a producer. We don’t know yet if he’s playing the same pale, high-pitched nightmare or a brand-new character, but we’re just happy he’s involved.
The project moved from Neon to Paramount to accommodate a bigger budget, which means we might be looking at something even more ambitious than the first. The plot details are a bit thin at the minute, but with Perkins back to write and direct, you can bet it’ll be just as atmospheric and weird.
